Howdy! I’m Zophia.

Corvidae Counseling was inspired by my admiration of crows: their social, kinship-oriented nature and their unmistakable capacity for emotional processing. In animal medicine, crows serve as symbols of change and transformation. My hope is to create a therapeutic environment that honors community, deep emotional work, and your own capacity for transformation.

My Clinical Focus & Approach

I view therapy as a deeply relational, collaborative, and affirming space. We don't exist in a vacuum - we are continuously shaped by our relationships, communities, and surrounding systems. Grounded in Relational-Cultural Theory and Internal Family Systems (parts work), my practice focuses on building growth-fostering connections - to yourself, to others, and to the world around you.

Together, we’ll explore the ways past hurts may have formed protective survival strategies that no longer serve you, while honoring the wisdom those parts carried. By integrating expressive arts and narrative techniques, I aim to help you process trauma at a safe pace and step fully into your authentic self.

My passions involve work in:

Sexuality & Intimacy: Sex and sexuality, sex-positive care, kink-friendly exploration, and all relationship structures (monogamy/ENM/polyamory/etc).

Identity & Life Transitions: Multiculturalism, intersectionality, self-exploration, and systemic navigating.

Grief & Healing: Processing grief, loss, and trauma in a safe, paced environment.

Substance Use & Recovery: Harm reduction and navigating relationship-to-substance patterns.

I provide trauma-informed and identity/experience affirming care across all areas of practice.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I am not being a therapist or student, you can usually find me spending time with my partner and our two pups, Bell and Olive. I am an avid reader, crafter, traveler, photographer, and lover of the arts (which obviously includes food). I try to prioritize things that keep me connected, present, and creative in my personal life… but who doesn’t love the occasional doom scroll or bed rot?

Two black dogs with collars sitting on a bed in a wooden room, with pillows and a blanket.
A woman with dark hair, tattoos on her arm, and wearing a black top, sitting on a brown couch in a dimly lit room, looking to her left with her hand on her chest.
A bouquet of orange tulips in a glass vase sitting on a windowsill with sunlight shining through the window, creating a warm glow on the flowers.
