Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in our first session?
Starting therapy requires vulnerability. So, our first session is all about establishing a safe, grounded foundation. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your background, and what you hope for out of our work together. Most importantly, it’s a space to see how it feels to sit across from one another. You won't be expected to dive into deep trauma on day one - we will establish and move at a pace that honors your comfort and safety.
A lot of times, we start with a making a relational tree together!
What are your session rates?
Individual Therapy Sessions:$145 per session (60 mins)
Couples & Relationship Sessions:$175 per session (typically 90 mins)
NET Intensive: Contact for price (rates vary based on need)
I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots in my practice to make care more accessible. If fee flexibility is something you need, please ask about current sliding scale availability during your consultation call.
Do you accept insurance?
I am contracted and provide services through Grit and Grace Therapeutic Services- which is an out-of-network (OON) practice and does not bill insurance directly. Paying directly protects your privacy and allows us maximum flexibility in your treatment plan without requiring insurance companies to dictate the diagnosis, format, or length of our work.
I am happy to provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential OON reimbursement.
Where are sessions held, and when are you available?
I offer in-person services in Charlotte as well as secure telehealth sessions for clients anywhere across North Carolina.
To accommodate busy schedules, I offer flexible appointments including weekdays, evenings, and select Saturdays.
Please note, because I am currently a doctoral student, my availability is subject to change with each semester, but I do my best to ensure consistency in scheduling.
What does "sex-positive," "kink-friendly," and "ENM/poly-affirming" mean in your practice?
It means, in this space, you will never have to justify your way of loving, expressing, or connecting. These aspects of your identity are affirmed and respected. In many traditional clinical settings, non-monogamous relationship structures, kink practices, or diverse sexual expressions are pathologized or treated as something to "fix." Here, sexuality and relationships are seen as core to the human experience.
